Flat roof covering has come on leaps and bounds since the days when felt was best left as a covering for a garden shed. Good quality torchon felt is heated to seal the joints and gives 20 plus leak free years. As it is made from Bitumen which is a by product of the petrochemical industry and waste that nobody else wants its also pretty green especially as their new systems have a very low heat melt point so even less gas is required to heat it up.
