Worcester Bosch Boilers

The Worcester part of this company is the bit that makes their boilers and have been doing so for the last 50 years. All their boilers are made in the UK and always have been. The company is going strong having supplied over half a million oil fired boilers in its lifetime and has 42% of the oil boiler market. Being around this long means they have had a very long time to ensure what they do is the best.
Whats interesting about boilers is that fundamentally they are not very different to 50 years ago - they burn something (in this case oil) and the vapours are very, very hot. It's the heat from this vapour that is used to heat the water that either heats your radiators or comes out of your hot tap. Old boilers sent most of the heat up the chimney, new boilers send almost cold vapour up the chimney. The old school boiler at Rise sends heat at about 350 degrees and the new boilers about 70 degrees. What has come on leaps and bounds is the 'heat exchanger' that extracts the heat from the vapours. Along with more efficient burners that have lower emissions.
Not only can you see how much a good boiler will benefit the environment but it doesn't half help the bank balance!
